9/11 A Special Day

If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself - 2 Timothy 2:13

9/11 was a terrible day for this nation and also the world was affected as well. As a pastor I opened up the church to our community to come and pray and held special services to help people deal with the travisty of 9/11 and point them to Jesus Christ in the process. What bothers me the most now is this: I saw the people come into the churches temporially for several weeks only.

They went back to spiritual apathy as soon a the government brought their solutions to the forefront. As if the government is the answer to the problem. Has a strong delusional spirit been allowed to cloud/or blind the minds of the people in this country? The problem is not the events of 9/11 but the condition of the hearts of all men. Jesus Christ is the... only solution... for what ails all of mankind. People need to do Hebrews 10:25 today more than ever. The churches should be full every Sunday. In some other countries they have church services every day and we think that is revival in this country.

The affect that 9/11 has on me is that as a pastor I have been more aware that we as the church, God's people, those who name the name of Jesus as Lord need to be about our Fathers business! The harvest is truly plenteous but the laborers are few..pray... the Lord of the HARVEST to send laborers into the harvest. Pray that He would send you!

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) 14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

God is incredible!

Jeremiah 1:4 - 10 (KJV) 4Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. 6Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. 7But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. 8Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 9Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. 10See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

God is incredible. Isn't He?
Before He formed us in our mothers womb He knew or chose us. God has set us apart individually for the very thing He designed us to do. We think we came to God on our own but in John's Gospel Jesus says He chose us.

What is truly amazing to me is that God thinks about me now and He has already provided for my eternity.

So if God be for us who can be against us? We need not be afraid to do what it is that God has equiped us to do. There should be no fear factor there in anything we do for the Lord.

Ask God what it is that He has set you apart to do.

Disaster Response
Often the winds of a storm haven’t even stopped blowing when Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Response team rolls in. We are considered a “first responder” organization in disaster relief. With a fleet of tractor-trailers, a 300,000-square-foot warehouse, a Ham Radio Network, a high-tech Mobile Command Center, and by utilizing our points of distribution model we have become an active and efficient disaster relief organization by providing resources and help to victims of disasters. However, we do not go at it alone. We rely heavily on the faith-based community and national and state disaster relief agencies and organizations. We have also developed a disaster preparedness program to educate communities so that they can prepare for and respond to disasters.

Set Apart For God by God

From my early childhood I have never felt like I fit in anywhere in this world. I have always felt that I was an outsider. Even in the body of Christ I feel that I am set apart to God for God and His purposes. I have been frustrated at times because I march to the tune of a different drummer and I was always striving to be accepted by others and tried to fit their mold and live up to their expectations of me. Until one day I understood that God has given me Jesus to be my all in all and that it is that relationship, eternal in it's nature, that needs to be developed and cultivated. At this point in my life I care very little about the judgements of people on my life and my personality. I am set apart for God by God and my desire is greater and greater growth in that relationship.

God has called me and continues to equip me so that I am able to help to equip others. I have been discipled to disciple others for the kingdom work that must be done.

The Lord has requested that we pray the Lord of the harvest that He send forth laborers into the harvest, which is His. Even pray that He would send us for the harvest IS plenteous but the laborers are few.

Seek Those Things Which Are Above

Colossians 3:1 - 17 (KJV) 1If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 2Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. 5Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. 8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 9Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; 10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all. 12Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; 13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. 14And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. 16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

When our affections are set on Christ, on the things that are above we will be like a couple that is infatuated with each other to the point where nothing else matters. Like a couple that is dating and even when they part ways their thoughts are constantly with each other. After parting wyas phone calls are made and texting (today)and they just can't seem to get enough of each other. When our relationship gets that way with God through Jesus Christ it becomes easy to see that we are in this world but not of it. The priority of heaven then can more easily become our priority. There is no king but Jesus!

Matthew 6:9 - 13 (KJV) 9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11Give us this day our daily bread. 12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Illegal Activity By The President & the DOE- click here

For years I have cautioned people that the public school system is being used to rob our children of their creativity and to quench the ability to think properly and reason. Now, is the public brainwashing begining as this country moves very rapidly toward Global Government where you can't buy or sell unles you have the mark of the beast on your forhead or your hand. (the day is approaching rapidly) Consider what is going on with the president speaking to our children. Is it innocent or is it another step closer to the indoctrination of the youth of this nation?

Hebrews 10:25 is the mandate for the church is this day and time and season. Time is short...shake, shake, shake....everything that can be shaken shall be shaken so that only the unshakable remains...hang on to the Lord.

If we don't train up our children in the way that they should go someone will. We have the awesome responsibility given by God to train up our children. Teach them how to think and evaluate things according to the will of God and not to be just politically correct.
