Meditate on The Word of God
I want to encourage those that are called the church to take to heart what the Bible says about meditating on the Word of God. A lot of what God is saying to the church is missed simply because the believer does not take the time to stop and ponder the Word that they hear or read. For example here is a Bible verse that is well known and is quoted:
Acts 1:8 (KJV) 8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
What is the power and what does it involve in our lives? I have spent the last 3 weeks going over what is involved in the power that we receive after the Holy Spirit comes upon us. “Dunamis” is explosive power or power that is used to change something radically. Miracle power etc.. What we have been looking at is the broader scope of the power both inside and outside of the believer. We have at least one or possibly 2 more weeks to go in our expanded view of this verse.
When you stop to consider the far reaching aspects of the power released to us, in us, and through us, you are able to understand the great commission and the role the believer has in the salvation of others world-wide. You can see the feasibility of preaching the Gospel of the kingdom in all the world for a witness.
Take time to understand who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ, and what you can do in Christ. Your rewards will be great.
Blessings on Ya!
Pastor Kitner
