More on my cancer treatment. Updated again -- Pastor Kitner

Things are moving right along now toward getting rid of the cancer that has invaded my body. Rectal cancer is no fun physically even in the everyday things of life, such as sitting standing, walking around or sleeping.

I have been scanned tatooed or marked for radiation treatment and set up for chemo or pills to work at the same time that the radiation is being done. I had 2 units of blood to bring my red cell count up because I have been bleeding internally for a while. I am scheduled for a PetScan on Wednesday morning at 7:15 AM, where they introduce a radioactive substance into my system and then do a CT Scann again to light me up so they can see if there is any other areas in my body where cancer would be present. After that the chemoradiation treatment begins for approximately 5 days a week for 6 weeks. After the double treatment to shrink the tumor is done then they will remove it and do a resection of the rectum tissue. This is all happening at the Arnold Palmer Cancer center at Mountain View near Greensburg, Pa.

Pray for my doctors. Dr Bahri, Dr Jin Lee and Dr. Armanious.

Also pray that no person touch my body that shouldn't. I don't want just anyone working on me.

Hollow On the Inside -- click here

Hollow On the Inside

There is this unforgettable drive above the Hudson River; in fact, the highway just kind of hangs out on Storm King Mountain. It's a few miles north of New York City and as you look down on the Hudson you get this incredible view. Now every time I've been able to catch a glance down there at this view of the Hudson, I have been fascinated with this castle. It sits right in the middle of the river on an island. It's kind of like a Robin Hood type of castle, if you can imagine that. Well, not too long ago my wife and I got to take a cruise along the Hudson River and I could take an extended look at that castle. We went right past it, and our tour guide said, "That's Bannerman Castle." Mr. Bannerman, apparently, was an arms dealer for many, many years, and over many decades there are a lot of very interesting stories about people coming and going for weapons all through the wars and all kinds of things. Then in the 1960s there was a large explosion there on the island. What about the castle? Well, I was surprised to learn the truth about that castle.

I'm Ron Hutchcraft, and I want to have A Word With You today about "Hollow on the Inside."

Our word for today from the Word of God comes from Matthew chapter 23, beginning at verse 25. But first, I have to tell you that Bannerman Castle according to the tour guide, though it's very impressive on the outside, is hollow now on the inside. Listen to what Jesus says about human Bannerman Castles. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish but inside they are full of greed and self indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First, clean the inside of the cup and dish, then the outside also will be clean. Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness."

Look at this. Jesus says there are people that look great on the outside, religious on the outside, but they have big problems on the inside. This could be you. I mean it could be true of a marriage, it could be true of a church, an organization, a leader, you and me. You know we live in a world where image and appearance are everything. You know we work on our fitness, and our hair, and our wardrobe, making good comments, making good impressions, looking like we have it all together, but then maybe there's another you. When you're alone, when you're thinking honestly, you can feel that emptiness insideĆ¢€¦that hollowness. You can't explain it - you can't deny it! And beneath the image you know the darkness, you know the sin. You know the struggle that's in there. Like one young woman said, "There's a darkness inside me that scares me." Eventually it's going to collapse.

Mickey Mantle said not long before his death, "I filled my emptiness with alcohol." Listen to what Jesus said in John 8:12, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness." Jesus is saying, "Invite me into that inner darkness; invite me into that emptiness. I can fill it." He said later in this chapter in Matthew 23, "How often I have longed to gather your children together, but you were not willing."

Jesus says he's been knocking on the door of your life. Why don't you give the emptiness and the darkness to the One who already knows all about you, who sees past the image, who can forgive that sin, who can clean that darkness, who can let you go free from it? Let it bring you not to depression, but to the cross of Jesus where he died knowing the sin inside of you and wanting to forgive you and set you free. You need to clean it up, not cover it up. Say, Lord, I need a Savior, no more trusting in me. It's all in your hands now.

If this is what you want, if you're ready to fill that hole on the inside with the One who gave you your life and gave His life for you, I'd invite you to come to our website because it's helped a lot of people cross over into Jesus' arms. You can go to yoursforlife.net.

Jesus builds people from the inside out. So, open the door of that empty castle and let Jesus in. He will make you strong inside and you can finally be done with that hollow spot in your heart.

Update on Cancer treatment for pastor Kitner

I have my first appointment set up with a radiation specialist. This is because they have determined they need to shrink the tumor which is pressing against my prostate but not invading it, before they remove the tumor and do a resection of the bowel.
I will be going to the Arnold Palmer Medical Center at Mountain View near Greensburg, Pa. They have a cancer treatment center there.
My appointment is for Wednesday, April 23, at 7:45 am. I don't know anything else at this time but I will keep the updates coming as I have information available to me.
I love ya and I really appreciate those who are praying for me.

God's blessing on Ya!

The following is the scripture that the Lord gave me concerning this whole ordeal. He gave it to me the day before I knew I needed it also, which is awesome and shows God's tremendous love for me. The emphasis is on the word formed.

Isaiah 54:17 - 55:1 (KJV) 17No weapon that is "formed"against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Latest test at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Pastor Kitner

I went to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on 4-10-08 and the doctor there did an ultrasound on the mass in my body and the surrounding areas and lymph nodes. As a result of his findings he is sending the results to my doctor in Greensburg with the recommendation that I be treated with a Chemo-Radiation treatment to shrink the tumor before removing it and a resection of the bowel where the removal took place. I will speak further with Dr. Johns from Greensburg and see what is the course of action for sure to accomplish the removal of the tumor and treatments.

Isaiah 54:17 - 55:1 (KJV) 17No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. 1Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

The above is scripture that I was given the day before my first colonoscopy. The person who gave it to me is a prophetess of God and shared that God had urged her to emphasize that no weapon that is "formed" against me shall prosper. The cancerous mass in my rectum has been formed against me and God had showed me a day ahead of time that it would not prosper...so I still have the peace of God in all of what is going on so far. Prayer, prayer and more prayer for all that is being said and done as well as prayer for those people that touch my body for any procedure.

Our prayer must be in agreement with God's Word and His covenant through Jesus Christ and His broken body and His shed blood for us.

I believe God!

What's Your Purpose in Life?

Today's Daily Encounter
"Daily Encounter by Richard (Dick) Innes (c) 2008
ACTS International.

1. What's Your Purpose in Life?

From the Apostle Paul: "I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now
there is in store for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me
on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who
have longed for his appearing."1

"Josh McDowell tells about an executive 'headhunter'
who recruits corporate executives for large firms.
This headhunter once told McDowell that when he
interviews an executive, he likes to disarm him. 'I
offer him a drink,' said the headhunter, 'take off my
coat, undo my tie, throw up my feet and talk about
baseball, football, family, whatever, until he's all
relaxed. Then, when I think I've got him relaxed, I
lean over, look him square in the eye and say, "What's
your purpose in life?" It's amazing how top executives
fall apart at that question.'

"Then he told about interviewing one fellow recently.
He had him all disarmed, had his feet up on his desk,
talking about football. Then the headhunter leaned
over and said, 'What's your purpose in life, Bob?' And
the executive said, without blinking an eye, 'To go to
heaven and take as many people with me as I can.'

"'For the first time in my career,' said the
headhunter, 'I was speechless.'"2

I've asked this same question to scores of people over
the years in seminars I have led. Just about everybody
believes God has a God-given life purpose for them,
but when I ask them what it is, very few have ever
carefully thought it through and written it down.

If we want to die well, we need to live well, and if
we are to live well, it is imperative that we know
what our God-given life purpose is and with God's help
give it our best shot.

Suggested prayer: "Dear God, please help me to discern
my God-given life purpose so that I know exactly what
it is. And please help to fulfill this purpose so when
I come to the end of my life's journey, I will know
that I have not lived in vain. Thank you for hearing
and answering my prayer. Gratefully, in Jesus' name,
amen."

Blessings on ya!

Never Let Your Enemy Define Who You Are!

1 Samuel 17:1-11 ( KJV ) 1Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim. 2And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the battle in array against the Philistines. 3And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and there was a valley between them. 4And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. 5And he had an helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. 6And he had greaves of brass upon his legs, and a target of brass between his shoulders. 7And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him. 8And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. 9If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. 10And the Philistine said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together. 11When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

Never, never, never let the enemy define who you are. His definition of you is always less than who you really are. He is a theif that comes to kill, steal and destroy. He may bring half of the truth to you but never will he bring the whole truth because the truth is not in him. He is a liar and a murderer from the begining.

Here in the above scripture we see Goliath calling the army, Saul's servants and well they were but much more than that. If the enemy of your soul can get you to see yourself as something other than what God has said then he or it can defeat you in the valley between the mountains.

These men that were the servants of Saul were also the army of Israel and of God. The Army of Israel was made up of covenant people and God is the one who keeps covenant. Goliath was, as David defined him correctly, an uncircumcised Philistine and he was not to be found to be under the covenant of God.

26And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?

45Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 46This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. 47And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.

God has declared us to be accepted in the beloved and we are as real Christians, born of His Spirit and under the blood covenant of the New Testament that Jesus brought us into by the breaking of His body and the shedding of his blood.

I am a son of God with the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwelling in me and an overcomer in Christ.

Blessings on Ya!

..."Here am I! Send me."...

I want to share this thought from Woody Barnett because I believe that it is right on. We are not to be conformed to this world --

From Woody Barnette..."Here am I! Send me."...
"If the household is worthy, let your peace come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you....Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves." (Matthew 10:13&16)

Jesus did not send us into the world to be "third party candidates." He did not send us to be one religion among many. He did not send us to tell people to, "go to the church of your choice," or, "It doesn't matter what you believe as long as you are sincere." Jesus did not "send you out as" citizens of a democracy. He sent us out as citizens of a Kingdom. He sent us out to bring people into His Kingdom, into relationship with Himself, to tell the world, in affect, that all religions of man will take you to Judgment and the fires of Hell. This may be radical to many, but in reality, the church, particularly in the West, has become an organization of diplomats rather than disciples, crowd pleasers rather than prophets, salesmen rather than evangelists.

The Holy Spirit is convicting the Church today to lose our false sense of fairness. Live as though Jesus is the Only Way, the Only Truth, and the Only Life------------- because He is. Don't live apologetically. Don't let people at the water cooler intimidate you with the attitude, "Well, that's just your opinion," or, "We have to be open to all religions." Search the Scriptures, and I guarantee you that you will not find such attitudes.

This is not a call to be obnoxious in the flesh, to go on a sort of Christian "jihad," force conversions, throw all unbelievers in prison, and burn mosques. This is a call to live what we claim we believe, and demonstrate to a lost and dying world that there is only one cure for their death sentence------------ Repent of their opinions, their religions, and philosophies, and embrace Jesus Christ, His Words, and His Kingdom. He is our Life--- Life Eternal.

Father, in Jesus' Name, "Here am I! Send me." Amen.

Blessings on Ya!

CT Scan -- Results

4-2-08
I received the results from the CT Scan that I had gone for on Monday to check out the cancer etc in my body.
Correction to first post -->The cancer is actually in the rectum and not in the colon. All the polops in the colon were non-cancerous but numerous.
The CT Scan showed that the cancer is contained to the one spot and has not spread anywhere else in my body and the cancer markers are low. (praise the Lord)

The person who gave it to me is a prophetess of God and shared that God had urged her to emphasise that no weapon that is "formed" against me. The cancerous mass in my rectum has been formed against me and God had showed me a day ahead of time that it would not prosper...so I still have the peace of God in all of what is going on so far.
I have to go to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for further tests to see how to handle the mass in my body.
Just keep it all before God in prayer and I ask God to bless you richly. I want it to be supernaturally healed and done in such a way that they do not find a mass at all when I go to the Presby Hospital.
