Get all the facts first!
Sometimes we go off on tangents before we know what the facts are in a given matter. Here is a little story to illustrate the need to have all the facts before we say something.... I have and am learning this more and more as I go along my life's course. Get all the facts first.
Enjoy:
A second grader came home from school and said to her grandmother, "Grandma, guess what? We learned how to make babies today." The grandmother, more than a little surprised, tried to keep her cool.. "That's interesting," she said, "how do you make babies?" "It's simple," replied the girl. "You just change 'y' to 'i' and add 'es'."

9/11 A Special Day
If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself - 2 Timothy 2:13
9/11 was a terrible day for this nation and also the world was affected as well. As a pastor I opened up the church to our community to come and pray and held special services to help people deal with the travisty of 9/11 and point them to Jesus Christ in the process. What bothers me the most now is this: I saw the people come into the churches temporially for several weeks only.
They went back to spiritual apathy as soon a the government brought their solutions to the forefront. As if the government is the answer to the problem. Has a strong delusional spirit been allowed to cloud/or blind the minds of the people in this country? The problem is not the events of 9/11 but the condition of the hearts of all men. Jesus Christ is the... only solution... for what ails all of mankind. People need to do Hebrews 10:25 today more than ever. The churches should be full every Sunday. In some other countries they have church services every day and we think that is revival in this country.
The affect that 9/11 has on me is that as a pastor I have been more aware that we as the church, God's people, those who name the name of Jesus as Lord need to be about our Fathers business! The harvest is truly plenteous but the laborers are few..pray... the Lord of the HARVEST to send laborers into the harvest. Pray that He would send you!
2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) 14If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

By the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God
2 Corinthians 1:1 - 6 (KJV) 1Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia: 2Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. 5For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 6And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
In the trials and tribulations of life, what have you come through? How has God comforted you and enabled you to be of some comfort to others?
I have been through a major heart surgery - a quad bypass and major cancer surgery as well and all in one year. God gave me the grace and a Word that sustained me through everything even to this day after all the surgery and recovery time. That is why I am making myself available to go to whomever necessary to help people understand that God is with them. And that He is able to bring them through the roughest rapids of life that there is and still take them forward in their journey of this life. God comforted me in so many ways and I want to share how He did it with me and encourage others that He will do it for them also.
Let me challenge you also to share, with someone else, what God has done for you in your time of needing comfort and help. There is a blessing waiting to happen in your life.
Blessings on Ya!

A Time to Relax Enjoyed.
My wife and I just came back from a short visit to our daughters place in the Winchester Virginia area. The drive was great with beautiful scenery and pleasant weather.
It was a get away for a few days from our hectic schedules and a time of relaxing as well as visiting our daughter and son-in-law. They have a foster child that they are taking care of and she is so prescious. She is actually from Russia and her circumstances are unique to say the least. She is so open to the good things in life. I left her her own personal Bible with devotionals for women in it. Sometimes just a change of scenery and a change from the routine of the everyday life can be so refreshing. We came back rested and ready to go again.
I have a funeral to do on Sunday afternoon at 1:30 PM. It is of a lady that I have helped to wade through some issues of life and one that loved the Lord. So the funeral won't be so hard to do because it can point the way of salvation to those that attend the funeral.
I also have someone filling in for me in the pulpit on Sunday as well. They will be speaking from the book of Revelation. This will be done also every third Sunday of the month.

Is America a Christian nation? click here
What direction has America taken in the last several years even decades?
I believe that the average American has been and is deceived into thinking that this nation and its leaders can do no wrong. The good that once was called such is now being called evil and the evil that once was is now being called good.
America needs an awakening as to what truth really is. PRAY for AMERICANS!

Missing RAM
This week I had some problems with a computer program not working right because of a possible corrupt file and Norton tech help fixed the problem for me. In the fixing of that problem I mentioned to the tech rep that my computer only had 512 megs of RAM. To that he replied that I really only had 384 megs of RAM. He pointed out that I had one 256 meg chip and one 128 meg chip and not two of the 256 meg chips that I was supposed to have. So I called HP tech support that is set up in India, and went over the whole story with them as to the fact that I NEVER got what I had already paid for. I spoke to 2 reps and they both told me that my computer is out of warranty and they would do nothing for me....unless I purchased a service plan. Then they would get me a new chip. The problem is this, I already paid for a chip that I never got. Why should I pay a service contract fee to get what I have paid for initially. It did not matter that I was cheated from the get-go, they would not rectify the problem for me.
I sent an e-mail to Mark Hurd, a CEO at HP through their e-mail contact service. I am waiting for them to get back to me and see what happens now.
I will post the results as I get them. In the mean time check out your computer if it came from HP and see if you got what you paid for...I didn't.
Be Blessed!

OOP's
I did something this week that caused me some frustration for sure.
I had recorded the message that I preached last Sunday morning. This was to be made available to anyone who wanted one. I went to make some copies during this week and I pushed the wrong buttons on the recorders to get this done. Instead of copying the tape I erased it so I have no recording now of the service. It is frustrating because I had done this same move last year trying to copy another tape of a service.(I pushed a syncronize recording button instead of fast dubbing) They were both one of a kind so there is no redemption available and the message is lost to anyone other than those who happened to be in the service on Sunday morning. I had told those present to take notes or get the tape.(I hope they took notes)
What I need is someone to do the recording and copying of the tapes so I don't get involved and mess everything up.
I did find out what I did wrong and did make some other recording copies but Sunday's service is gone, gone, Gone!
Blessings on Ya!
