Update on Pastor Kitner and the Cancer Treatment

An update on me as I progress through this cancer treatment. I am into the third week of radiation/chemo treatment. I am feeling pretty good even though I get tired fast and have no stammina to speak of.

I have seen a surgeon and he has said that the operation will end in a permanent colostomy with a bag for me because there just isn't enough good tissue to reconnect the sections of the lower bowel without going into the area where the cancer cells were before the radiation/chemo treatment. He has said that if he would do the reconnect with that tissue that the reoccurance rate is really high. He indicated that the cancer could return within one year after surgery. The radiologist said that the reconnecting the bowel in this situation would not even gurantee me to have control over the functions of my body.

Now I have several oppinions from the human doctors but there is one doctor that I am consulting even as you read this. His name is Doctor Jesus the Great Physician. He will have the final word on what will happen in my case. He has info that only He knows and He has abilities that other Physicians don't have.

The scripture that the Lord gave me the day before I was to find out I have this cancerous mass in my rectum is as follows:

Isaiah 54:16 - 55:1 (NIV) 16 “See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc; 17 no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.

I will see the Oncologist that is taking care of the Chemo treatment process on Thursday (5-22-08) of this week. He will give me some more input from the blood work I am sure and explain some other things to me. I also will ask him some questions as well.
