I just went to my surgeon for a follow-up visit after the surgery.
My doctor visit went well. I don't have to go back for another followup
visit unless there is some kind of problem and I don't think that will be the
case.
I just have to go to the oncologist and get a final cat-scan and I will be
through with the doctor visits for a while.
I have the paththology reports from the surgery and there is no cancer in
any of the lympth nodes and it never broke through the back wall of the rectum
so it was contained to the spot where it was and ther is no cancer in the
tissue around the spot... so it was good report.
I have recovered fully from the heart by-pass and all seems to be going very
well.
I appreciate all the prayers and I still have the peace of God that He has
given throughout all the things that I have been through this past summer.
God is good all the time. His grace is sufficient and it is His power
released into a life that would be unable to handle things in the natural
but through Christ we can do all things for sure.

What Did the Turkey Do?
The Parrot
A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to "clean up" the bird's vocabulary.
Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute.
Fearing that he'd hurt the parrot, John quickly open the door to the freezer, the parrot calmly stepped out onto John's outstretched arms and said, "I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I'm sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior."
John was stunned at the change in the bird's attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, "May I ask what the turkey did?"

Back Home
I am back home now. I have spent the last 2 weeks and 2 days in the hospital for the removal of the cancer that had been in my body. I will bring everything up to date in the next few days.

The Time Has Come
Tomorrow, October 29, 2008 is the date of a scheduled operation to remove cancer from my body as well as my Gallbhladder. I am confident that Isaiah 54:17 still governs what will happen and the desired outcome of the Lord. He gave me the scripture before I knew I need it and the grace of God has kept me in perfect peace through all the surprises that I have faced physically. Nothing surprises God in our lives. We are the ones that must remember that He has a plan that is for good and not for evil and that plan will give us the desired outcomes of life.
Keep me in prayer for sure as prayer definitely works...God both hears and answers them without doubt.
Keep Dr. Wolfgang Schraut and every person that would have anything to do with my stay in the hospital in prayer as well. I don't want anyone but the right people to touch me in any way.
God is good, all the time and all the time, God is good!

Don’t Quit
Don’t Quit
“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. For in just a very little while, “He who is coming will come and will not delay.” – Hebrews 10:36-37
If you’re discouraged because of God’s delay in answering your prayers, understand the delay is NOT a denial. Just because the answer or the miracle hasn’t come – yet – that doesn’t mean God isn’t going to answer or that he’s forgotten you or that he doesn’t care about you. It simply means “not yet!”
Spiritual maturity is knowing the difference between “no” and “not yet,” between a denial and a delay. The Bible tells us, “He who is coming will come and will not delay” (Hebrews 10:37 NIV).
The delay may be a test of your patience. Anybody can be patient once. And, anybody can be patient twice. And, just about anybody can be patient three times. So God tests you patience over and over and over.
Why? To see how patient you are?
No, he does it to show you how patient you are. So you’ll know what’s inside of you, and you’ll be able to know your level of commitment. God tests you so that you can know he is faithful, even if the answers you seek are delayed.
If you’re discouraged, turn it around by remembering God teaches you patience during delay. Ask him to transform your discouragement into patience.
You may be going through difficult times right now and feel like dropping off the planet. You’re discouraged because the situation you face seems unmanageable, unreasonable, or unfair.
It may seem unbearable and inside you’re basically saying, “God, I can’t take it anymore. I just can’t take it anymore!”
But you can.
You can stay with it longer because God is with you. He’ll enable you to press on. Remember, you are never a failure until you quit.
Don’t quit. Resist discouragement and finish the race God has set before you.
